Note: Single surcharge is 1.7 times the twin share rate.
The cost of participation covers:
- Return air trip from Moscow to Murmansk and back to Moscow.
- Transfer from the Murmansk airport to the vessel and back to the Murmansk airport from the ice-breaker.
- Sea voyage aboard "YAMAL" ice-breaker as per travel plan.
- All excursions ashore and other events implemented aboard Zodiac boats
and the helicopter throughout the entire duration of the voyage (scheduled
group excursions/outings).
- A course of lectures delivered by renowned field naturalists and services of expert guide.
- Three meals a day plus coffee and tea offered around the clock.
- Introductory materials for general information.
- Transportation of the participants' luggage and individual gear (for
balloonists, divers and paramotorists) from the Murmansk airport and from
the vessel.
- Transportation and storage of individual gear owned by skydivers,
balloonists, paramotorists and scuba divers aboard "YAMAL" ice-breaker
(200 kg of gear per person allowed).
- Miscellaneous operational expenses and harbour charges throughout the
entire duration of the expedition.
- Special-purpose clothing for the expedition participants.
- (For licence-holding skydivers): One parachute jump at the North Pole.
- (For licence-holding balloonists and paramotorists): One retrieval by
helicopter after completion of a flight.
- (For licence-holding divers): one diving session with underwater breathing
gear.
The participation cost does not cover:
- Expenses arising out of the need to issue passports and visas (if required);
- State-levied entry and exit charges (if required);
- expenses for accommodation in single cabins (if required);
- meals served ashore and individual accommodation at hotel (if required);
- personal insurance (mandatory for each participant);
- insurance of luggage and insurance against cancellation of the expedition (if required);
- delivery of special-purpose gear to Murmansk (applicable to balloonists, paramotorists, skydivers and scuba divers);
- excess baggage charges paid during air trips;
- telecom services;
- cost of refreshments and bar service;
- tips normally given at the end of the journey to the stewards and those who attended to you throughout the voyage (at your wish).
Note: According to the provisions of our charter agreement, overtime
flights aboard the helicopter performed for any purpose whatsoever will be
charged on the basis of an extra hourly rate to be additionally specified.
Participants' outfits
A participant of the expedition must have:
- Passport and duly legalized visa covering the period of the participant's
stay in Russia.
- Insurance policy.
- License and individual gear (for skydivers, balloonists, paramotorists
and divers).
- Set of special-purpose warm clothing for extreme actions (for
skydivers, balloonists, paramotorists and scuba divers).
Note: At an extra pay we can offer a complete package of services which
include: visa support; meeting and seeing you off to your flight at the
airport in Moscow; accommodation at Moscow's hotels; assistance in
customs clearance of special-purpose gear at the airport of Murmansk;
manufacture of special clothing and equipment
intended for the programme of extreme actions performed within the framework of
the expedition. In case of your interest please notify us of the need for any
extra support and/or services in advance.
Advance booking
In order to list you as a participant, you are kindly requested to provide the
following information by January 1, 2001:
- Your surname, first name, patronymic (if applicable);
- Citizenship;
- Passport details;
- Birth date;
- Place of residence.;
- Number of your licence (for skydivers, balloonists, paramotorists and
scuba divers);
- Contact telephone, fax numbers, E-mail address;
- Location (country, city) to which visa support should be forwarded;
- List of additional services.
